The MNFU actively advocates for Manx Food and Farming in the public sphere and is highly visible at our local agricultural shows and other community initiatives, schools and other events, promoting and raising awareness of the challenges for Manx Farming, and educating on food production, protecting the environment, and supporting wellbeing within the rural community. These activities help connect the wider community with local producers and keep the rural story front and centre.
Meet the Team
The Manx National Farmers’ Union (MNFU) is led by a General Secretary and Assistant General Secretary who oversee the organisation’s operations and provide support to Members. Strategic leadership is provided by the MNFU Board, which includes the President, Vice President, Treasurer and Patron. The Union’s structure also includes specialist committees representing key sectors such as Meat & Livestock, Land & Environment, Dairy, Crops, and Marketing, Education & Business.
In addition, regional branches—Southern, Northern, and Central—are each led by their own Chairs, Vice Chairs, and Secretaries, ensuring that farmers across the Isle of Man have a strong voice and local representation within the Union.
